SIDORA was founded by Kim Ziobro, driven by a love for thoughtful design, meaningful details, and creating things with purpose. What began as a personal vision grew into a brand rooted in authenticity, creativity, and care. Kim takes a hands-on approach to every part of SIDORA, guided by the belief that quality, intention, and connection matter. Through SIDORA, Kim aims to build something timeless—designed not just to be seen, but to be felt.
As I took time to reflect on my many blessings, I humbly acknowledged the real reason for the success of SIDORA Home & Gift Studio. The focus and success have a much deeper meaning all of which points towards my dad. My love for antiques, vintage and unique pieces I learned from my dad at a very young age. At the age of 12, my dad was introducing me to antiques, the beautify of them and their value. He had encouraged me to invest my babysitting money which I purchased my first piece of depression glass. My largest purchase during those young years was an oak mantle clock which I still own today.
I was lucky enough to inherit my dad’s creative traits. He rebuilds old cars from metal to award winning show cars, while I stick to more simple things…curating, painting, to creative was to hang odd pieces from the ceilings. We both turned our passions into hobbies, businesses and cherishing the many friendships we make along the way. I have quote that is heartfelt and so true, “I have those who are customers, then become friend which turn into family”! My Dad doesn’t know a stranger no matter how far he travels, and the lifelong friendships are countless.
So, why am I sharing this? Because it is the backbone of SIDORA Home & Gift Studio! For those of you who know me, know that my dad is “my person”! He is the one who taught me independence, gave me significant value of beautiful things and friendships and reminds me daily to have fun in life. When it was time to choose a name for my business, it was important to me for it to include my dad’s name, SID. Of course, I googled business names with “Sid” and SIDORA stood out to me and I knew at that point and time that was my name! About 15 minutes later, it hit me!….My Grandmother who helped raise me, was ORA! This gives me chills every time I think of it!! Sid was also my brother's middle name. I lost my brother to cancer about 8 years ago; he and I were extremely close. The three most influential people in my life, is the meaning behind SIDORA
